Pertumbuhan Tanaman Lidah Buaya (Aloe Vera L.) Pada Tanah Gambut Yang Diberi Abu Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (Tkks) Dan Pupuk Nitrogen
ABSTRACT
The purpose of study is to know the effect of interaction of EFB ash and nitrogen fertilizer and main factor to performance aloe vera plant on peat soil and find the best combination of treatments that produces fresh weight of aloe vera (Aloe vera L.) for the first 4 months on peat soil. Studies using factorial trials 4 x 4 by 3 replication, with two factors of 4 level each, using a completely randomized design (CRD). First factor is a EFB ash: A0= 0 ton.ha-1, A1= 1 ton.ha-1, A2= 2 ton.ha-1, and A3= 3 ton.ha-1. The second factor is a Nitrogen fertilizer consists of four levels: N0 = 0 kg Urea.ha-1, N1 = 150 kg Urea.ha-1, N2 = 250 kg Urea.ha-1, and N3 = 350 kg Urea.ha-1. The observed parameters that is soil pH, total soil N, and cation exchange capacity (CEC), plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf thickness, stem diameter, root volume, and leaf fresh weight. Research shows, the interaction of EFB ash and nitrogen fertilizer affects the soil pH, plant height, number of leaves and root volume. Increasing the dose of OPEFB ash had a significant effect on all observation parameters and increasing the dose of Nitrogen fertilizer had a significant effect on the chemical properties of the soil mainly N-total soil, and plant growth variables including plant height, number of leaves, and root volume. The best treatment is a combination of EFB ash 2 ton.ha-1 and nitrogen fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1 Urea kg.ha-1.
