Pengaruh Konsentrasi Rootone-F Dan Lama Perendaman Terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Jambu Air Deli Hijau (Syzygium Aqueum)
The multiplication of water guava plants through stem cuttings is more profitable, but has a problem, namely roots that are difficult to grow. The effort needed is by giving a growth regulator, namely Rootone-F. The function of this growth regulator is to stimulate root growth. This study aims to determine the effect of concentration, immersion time of Rootone-F and its interaction on the growth of Deli Hijau (Syzygium aqueum) water guava plant cuttings. The research was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. Factor I is the concentration of Rootone-F (K), consisting of four levels, namely: K0 = No Rootone-F, K1 = Concentration of 100 ppm, K2 = Concentration of 200 ppm, K3 = Concentration of 300 ppm. Factor II is the immersion time (P) in growth regulator, consisting of four levels, namely: P0 = 0 hours, P1 = 1 hour, P2 = 2 hours, P3 = 3 hours. The results showed that the interaction of 300 ppm Rootone-F concentration treatment with 3 hours soaking time was able to accelerate the emergence of Deli Hijau guava plant cuttings. Increasing the concentration of Rootone-F to 300 ppm can accelerate the time of shoot emergence, increase the number of shoots, shoot length, root length, number of roots, seedling fresh weight, root fresh weight, root volume compared with no Rootone-F concentration. Increasing the immersion time up to 3 hours was also effective in accelerating shoot emergence time, increasing the number of shoots, longest shoot length, root length, number of roots, seedling dry weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight and root volume greater than without immersion.
