Seleksi Dan Uji Kemampuan Antagonis Bakteri Endofit Asal Tanaman Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L.) Terhadap Jamur Phytophthora Palmivora Secara In Vitro
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to select and test the antagonistic activity of endophytic bacteria originating from cocoa plants that can control P. palmivora which causes fruit rot disease in cocoa in vitro and identification. The research has been carried out at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This research has been carried out using exploration, observation and experiment methods. The exploration method is carried out in the isolation process and purification of the endophytic bacteria of cocoa plants, the method of observation was carried out to test the hypersensitivity reaction and the method The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 11 treatments and 3 replications so that 33 experimental units were obtained. The treatments tested were isolates of endophytic bacteria obtained from cacao plants from roots, stems and leaves against P. palmivora. The data obtained were analyzed by means of variance and to compare the mean between Duncan 's multiple-distance test treatments at the 5% level. The results showed that the results of the isolation, purification and hypersensitivity reaction test of endophytic bacteria from cocoa plants obtained 11 isolates of endophytic bacteria, each of which differed based on morphological characteristics. There were five isolates of endophytic bacteria from cocoa that had antagonistic power >50% against P. palmivora , namely EB2 (53.97%), EB4 (53.84%), EA2 (52.63), EA3 (52, 59%) and EA4 (51.16%).
