Uji Aktivitas Antimikroba Larutan Biji Alpukat (Persea Americana Mill) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bakteri Aeromonas Hydrophila
ABSTRACT
Avocado seed (Persea americana Mill) is one of the natural ingredients that has the potential as an antibacterial because it contains phytochemical compounds, such as flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and tannins which are antibacterial and antimicrobial. A research was conducted from Februari to April 2022, at Parasite and Fish Disease Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the antimicrobial activity of avocado seed solution (Persea americana Mill) on the growth of Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria.,the range of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and the lethal dose (LD50) against test fish. This research method for sensitivity againts used doses D1: 100%; D2: 90%; D3: 80%; D4: 70%; D5: 60%; D6: 50%; D7: 40%; D8: 30%; D9: 20% D10: 10%, and K : Control (Oxytetracyclin) 30μg/disk. The carp (Chyprinus carpio) used is 7-9 cm in size. LD50 immersion was carried out for 24 hours. The results shown that avocado seed solution was sensitive to A. hydrophila and was able to inhibit Aeromonas hydrophila up to 1% dose with diameter inhibition zone of 6,52 mm, minimum Inhibitory Concetrantion (MIC) was 2%, whith average colonies bacteria is 262,66 CFU/ mL and the lethal dose (LD50) is 3,23 %
