The purpose of this study was to determine the role of 3T Regional Physical Education Teachers in an Effort to Increase Interest and Achievement in Learning Sports at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggak, Jemaja Barat District, Anambas Islands Regency. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this research is by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, there are seventeen ways that teachers can do to increase students' interest and achievement in learning sports at school. However, from the results of the research described above, it can be seen that there are only ten ways teachers can increase their interest and achievement in learning sports. The next seven methods are still not clearly visible the results carried out by physical education teachers. The ten ways that have been done are: varied learning methods, creating competition and competition, giving daily tests, giving grades in the form of numbers, notifying learning outcomes, giving gifts, praise, punishment, learning materials outside the classroom, the role of physical education teachers in learning process at school. And the seven ways that are still not clear are the results given by the teacher in increasing interest and achievement in learning sports as follows: seeing the development of student interest in learning, influencing learning facilities and infrastructure in schools, seeing the development of student learning achievement, training physical education teachers, performance of physical education teachers , manage learning time, utilize learning media. Factors that cause interest and learning achievement are still not good are found in school facilities and infrastructure and access to go to school must pass by sea, if the weather is good the teachers can attend school if the weather is bad they can't go to school to carry out their duties or role as workers educator.
