Ekstrak Buah Bintaro Sebagai Bahan Pengawet Kayu Terentang (Campnosperma Auriculatum (Blume) Hook.F.) Dari Serangan Rayap Tanah Dengan Metode Uji Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of bintaro fruit extract as a preservative for stretched wood against subterranean termite pests using laboratory test methods and soaking time. This study used a non-factorial, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 10 replications, resulting in 40 experimental units. This research was conducted in the laboratory of the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from May to August 2022. The research data were analyzed using statistics with the help of analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if the results were significantly different, it would be continued with Duncan's new multiple range test (DNMRT). at the level of 5%. The wood moisture content obtained in this study was 13.20 and 10.72%; for the weight loss of the test samples, the values were 10.76–28.04%; the mortality was 100%; and for the degree of wood damage, the values were 3.2–28.8%. The conclusion from this study is that the soaking time given gave the lowest value for the weight loss of the test sample on P3 wood (72 hours of immersion) of 10.76% and the lowest value for the degree of wood damage of 0.
