Pengaruh Kompetensi Manajerial Kepala Sekolah Dan Motivasi Kerja Guru Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Negeri Di Kecamatan Bungaraya Kabupaten Siak
This study aims to describe the influence of managerial and work motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in the district of Bungaraya. Teachers in educational institutions are resources in addition to students and other components, so teachers must be managed and regulated. The teacher is a person who conveys knowledge to students. Students at school are the responsibility of a teacher, so the teacher plays an important role in his students. The results of the efforts obtained by school teachers while on duty with the responsibility to achieve educational goals are a manifestation of the results of teacher performance.
Based on the results of open interviews with several public junior high school teachers in the Bungaraya sub-district conducted by researchers in January 2022, it was found that many teachers had not carried out their duties optimally and professionally. This is indicated by the fact that there are still many teachers who do not plan learning activity programs in accordance with the provisions and are not on time and arrive late and leave the class when learning takes place, then there are still teachers who do not carry out learning activities in accordance with the provisions such as there are still many teachers who teach. with the old method so that students tend to be bored and cause the classroom learning atmosphere to be less conducive and there are still many teachers who do not evaluate/assess learning at the end of the teaching and learning process ending in a structured and planned manner.
This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire given to 66 teachers who were randomly selected as samples using the census sampling method. The research was conducted, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression and data processing using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program.
The findings of this study show that the magnitude of the influence of Managerial Competence on teacher performance is 60.9%. The remaining 39.1% was determined by other factors that were not part of this study. then the magnitude of the influence of teacher motivation on teacher performance was obtained by 53.1%. The remaining 46.9% was determined by other factors that were not part of this study. And the magnitude of the influence between the variables of Managerial Competence and teacher motivation on teacher performance was obtained by 67%. The remaining 33% is determined by other factors that are not part of this study. Thus, the magnitude of the influence between the variable Managerial Competence (X1) and teacher motivation (X2) on teacher performance (Y) is at a high level.

Based on the results of the research, managerial competence has an effect on teacher performance. The better the managerial competence provided, the more effective the teacher's performance will be. This means that managerial competence is an important variable to be considered so that teacher performance can increase. Motivation has an effect on teacher performance. The higher the teacher's motivation, which is described by a high work ethic, will support better teacher performance. Therefore, teacher motivation is an important variable to consider in improving teacher performance. Managerial competence and teacher motivation affect teacher performance. The better the managerial competence and the higher the teacher's motivation, the better the teacher's performance
