Jenis Dan Kepadatan Bivalvia Pada Ekosistem Mangrove Desa Sungai Piring Kecamatan Batang Tuaka Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Mangrove ecosystems are brackish forests or mangrove forests that affect macrofauna diversity. One of the types of such macrofauna is the bivalve type. Bivalves have an essential role in the food chain. The role of bivalves is as a detritus feeder and plays a role in the decomposition of mangrove litter. This study is to determine the type and density of bivalves in the mangrove ecosystem of Sungai Piring village. The study was conducted in July - August 2022. The research site consists of 3 stations divided into three plots at each station. In each plot, there are three subplots. The bivalves found consist of 3 types of species, namely Polymesoda erosa, Geloina erosa, and Pharella acutidents. Indeks to various types (H') ranges from 1.44 to 1.54, the uniformity index value (E) ranges from 0.91 to 0.97 and the dominance type index value (C) ranges from 0.35 to 0.40. The types of mangroves found are Rhizophora apiculata, Avicennia marina, Nypa fruticans, Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum, Excoecaria agallocha and Thespenia populnea.
