Penerapan Metode Double Exponential Smoothing Dalam Meramalkan Hasil Panen Padi Di Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is a country that has fertile soil. This can be proven by the ease of finding agricultural land and plantations. There are two kinds of agricultural activities in Indonesia, namely dry land agriculture and wet land farming. The types of plants that grow in rice fields are quite diverse, but in general the crops grown in rice fields by farmers are rice, corn, peanuts, and other secondary crops. Among these crops that have high productivity is rice. Rice is one of the important crops in Indonesia. Rice plants produce rice which is a staple food for the people of Indonesia. The object of this research is in Kampar Regency. Kampar Regency is one of the rice producers, where the rice yields in Kampar Regency have not met the needs because every year the rice harvest changes caused by factors that affect crop yields. so that the government must be able to plan the right planning in taking further actions, one of which is by forecasting so that there will not be a decrease in the level of rice production which will affect the availability of rice. Therefore, the researchers designed a predictive system for rice production using the Double Exponential Smoothing Method to determine the estimated value of rice production in the next year. This method was chosen because it can be used to predict time series data and has good forecasting ability. In this study, the error rate was tested. The application of this method resulted in forecasting the rice harvest in Kampar Regency in 2022 of 26,271,81 tons with a MAPE value of ± 28.21%. Based on this average, the forecasting error is included in the sufficient category because the percentage error is less than 50%.
