Pengaruh % Solid Dan Nilai Kalor Bahan Bakar Heavy Black Liquor Terhadap Steam Generation Unit Recovery Boiler #3
ABSTRACT
PT RAPP reuses weak black liquor obtained from the pulping process with the kraft pulp method which produces residual chemicals and substances dissolved in solution in the form of a liquid called black liquor in the digester and has a concentration of 15 - 18%total solids. In order for the organic content to be burned in the recovery boiler, the weak black liquor is concentrated up to 80 - 82%of total solids known as the evaporation process. The place where this evaporation process occurs is called the evaporator. Weak black liquor that has concentrated 80 - 82% is called heavy black liquor which is the fuel in the recovery boiler (RB). Fuel is a substance that when heated will react with an oxidizer (oxygen in the air) to release heat. The chemical energy in the fuel will be converted into thermal energy. Heavy black liquor is burned to produce green liquor (GL) and n steam generation which is high pressure (HP) steam with a pressure of 84 bar and a temperature of 480 º C. Burning black liquor is carried out with the aim of To separate organic substances and inorganic substances contained in black liquor. This observation aims to determine the effect of %Solid and fuel calorific value on the steam generation in Recovery Boiler #3. The data used in this observation are secondary data, this data is obtained by conducting field observations, literature studies and data from the Distributing Control System (DCS) and Analysis Results from the laboratory. From the data analysis carried out, the results on January 30,
2023 were 82,37% solid with steam generation produced at 158,09 Kg/s. This shows that % solid and heavy black liquor affect the amount of steam generation produced. The calorific value of fuel is influenced by the calorie value contained in black liquor and water content. The water content in heavy black liquor fuel can make some of the energy wasted to evaporate water that occurs in the boiler.
