Penerapan Material Requirement Planning Pada Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Roti Di Rotte Bakery

ABSTRACT
Rotte Bakery is a food industry company that produces bread. This company always tries to improve its production system by controlling raw material inventory. Optimal control of raw material inventory supports the continuity of the production process and achieves the effectiveness of raw material procurement. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a method used to control the availability of raw material planning for a product. The purpose of this study is to classify raw material inventory using ABC analysis and analyze the application of an optimal inventory control system using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method at Rotte Bakery. The methods used in controlling raw material inventory are ABC Classification Analysis and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with lot sizing techniques Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Fixed Period Requirement (FPR). Based on the results o the ABC classification analysis calculation, there are 3 types of raw materials in classification A, which are flour, shortening and yeast with an overall percentage of 80.45%. Classification B has 2 types of raw materials, which are butter and milk powder with a percentage of 13.05% and classification C has 3 types of raw materials is sugar, water and salt with a percentage of 6.5%. MRP compilation carried out based on the use of raw materials and the absorption of the largest funds from the ABC classification analysis calculation. Based on the results of the comparison between the two MRP method techniques, the technique that results in the minimum total cost is the Fixed Period Requirement technique with a value of Rp 31.082.995. Comparison of the total cost of the raw material inventory planning system used in the FPR technique is smaller than the EOQ technique whose total inventory cost is Rp 35.278.317.
