The purpose of this study is to identify and characterize Lakoff and Johnson’s types of conceptual metaphor employed by Camila Cabello in her song lyrics from her self-titled debut album Camila, as well as to determine the prevalent form of metaphor. This is a qualitative study with Metaphor Identification Procedure (MIP). Six tracks from the album were chosen for analysis. There were 65 data obtained that included metaphors. Ontological metaphor is mentioned 44 times, structural metaphor is mentioned 16 times, and orientational metaphor is mentioned 5 times. Based on the findings, it is feasible to conclude that ontological metaphor is the most frequently used. There are 32 concepts found in the song lyrics such as LOVE IS A DRUG, EMOTION IS AN ENTITY, and more. Cabello employed metaphors in her songs to communicate her thoughts and feelings as a celebrity, as well as her experiences with love and friendship in a way that most people find relevant through her song lyrics.
