Analisis Kesalahan Penggunaan Fonem Dalam Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP It Bangkinang
This study describes the form of phoneme usage errors in a student's written text. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection method is a documentation technique in the form of a student's description text writing test. Data were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and concluding. The results of the research on phoneme usage errors found in the descriptive text written by class VIII students of SMP IT Bangkinang consist of phoneme changes, phoneme additions and phoneme omissions. The results showed that phoneme changes were classified into five parts, namely: (1) vowel phoneme changes, (2) consonant phoneme changes, (3) vowel phoneme changes to consonant phonemes. (4) changes in consonant phonemes to vowel phonemes, and (5) changes in the pronunciation of words or abbreviations. Addition and deletion of phonemes are classified into three parts, namely: (1) vowel phonemes, (2) consonant phonemes, and (3) dual phonemes. Based on data on the causes of errors in the use of phonemes in the description text of class VIII students of SMP IT Bangkinang, namely: oral language errors that affect written language, these errors are an attitude of facilitating pronunciation resulting in inaccurate language acquisition. In addition, the lack of knowledge using language is evidenced by the many findings using non-standard words in sentences.
