Pengukuran Quality Of Experience (QoE) Pada Aplikasi Berbasis WEB di Akses Jaringan Terbuka Universitas Riau
Riau University is one of the largest campuses in Riau, with a large number of students providing internet services for all students, lecturers and staff at UNRI. This is proven by the presence of internet networks in several faculties at UNRI. Apart from that, to support education at UNRI, the campus currently provides an open access network. What is meant by an open access network is a network that can be accessed by students and lecturers without requiring a password. When accessing the network, user satisfaction factors need to be taken into consideration. User satisfaction can be assessed in Quality of Experience (QoE). Therefore, it is necessary to measure the quality of open network access available at Riau University. QoE measurements were carried out in two places, namely in the engineering faculty lobby and the UNRI library. QoE will show different results according to the place where we carry out a measurement due to the user's network quality factors. The research carried out discussed measuring the quality of open access networks at UNRI using subjective, objective QoE methods and QoS measurements, so that optimal QoE results were obtained using tools such as Google Lighthouse and the Nperf mobile application for QoS measurements over research time. The research was conducted for 5 days, Monday to Friday at 08.00 – 09.00, 10-00 – 11.00, 13.00 – 14.00, 15.00-17.00 WIB which was carried out for 3 consecutive weeks. The results of the measurements carried out will be analyzed for future research needs and to determine the quality of open network access and problems that occur with networks in the UNRI engineering faculty and library. QoE measurement results are displayed in graphical form. In research measuring QoE using subjective methods, the MOS value was 3.45, which is in the quite good or fair category. Meanwhile, using the objective method of open access in the lobby of the engineering faculty, the average performance was 46.86, which was in the Bad category, and at the UNRI library location, the average performance was 48.2, which was in the Bad category. However, for other parameters, the average obtained was above 50 which was included in the Fair and Good categories. Then, the results of the QoS measurement of open network access in the lobby of the engineering faculty and the UNRI library obtained almost the same score for the Download parameter, the score was in the quite good category because it was more than 5 mbps, but for higher needs a score of 25 mbps or more was required. for the Upload parameter we also got the same result of 8.03 mbps. For latency parameters, both places are considered good because the score is below 150 mbps. For the Browsing and Streaming parameters, the scores were also the same with the highest value of 62.74%. The higher the percentage score, the better the network quality.
