Strategi Pengembangan Daya Tarik Wisata Danau Meduyan Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu

The tourist attraction of Lake Meduyan in Indragiri Hulu Regency was developed by the government of Indragiri Hulu Regency with a pioneering strategy for developing superior natural tourist attractions, developing superior natural tourist attractions, strengthening leading tourist attractions, and revitalizing leading tourist attractions. However, the facts on the ground show that Lake Meduyan tourism is still not a tourist attraction for visiting tourists. It is inseparable from the development of Lake Meduyan in Indragiri Hulu Regency, that the Indragiri Hulu Regency government wants to develop tourism to increase tourist interest and advance Indragiri Hulu Regency. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out how the Tourism Attraction Development Strategy is, what obstacles occur in its development and the efforts that have been made by the government, especially the Meduyan Lake tourist attraction in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The theory used in this research was put forward by Spillane namely attractions, facilities, infrastructure, transportation, hospitality. Secondary data obtained from related government agencies, books, journals or data from the internet that contains related theories or research results. The results of this study explain that the strategy for developing the tourist attraction of Lake Meduyan in Indragiri Hulu Regency has not fulfilled the expectations of the important components in tourism development as expressed by Spillane in Sari (2011). As for the obstacles, among others, limited funds, weak human resources, and the main tasks and functions of Pokdarwis are not working. Furthermore, efforts that must be made by the government, especially the tourism agency, are increasing existing human resources and updating component elements, namely facilities and infrastructure so that Meduyan Lake tourism can become an attraction for visiting tourists.
