Pengaruh Inflasi, BI-7 Day Repo Rate, Dan Produk Domestik Bruto Terhadap Permintaan Uang (M1) Di Indonesia Tahun 2013-2022
The role of money in the economy is very large, especially in M1, because money is a very vital medium in the people's economy. The demand for money greatly affects the Indonesian economy, this can be strengthened by the theory of money demand. The development of the money supply (M1) in Indonesia from year to year until now continues to experience a significant increase, which indicates that the level of demand for money in the community is increasing. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of inflation, BI-7 Day Repo Rate, and Gross Domestic Product on the Demand for Money in Indonesia in 20132022.
The variables in this study are Inflation (X1), BI-7 Day Repo Rate (X2) and Gross Domestic Product (X3) as independent variables and Money Demand as the dependent variable. The data used is data per semester from 2013-2022 using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI). This study used quantitative and descriptive analysis, while data processing used multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) approach in the Eviews 10 statistical program.
The results showed that the coefficient of determination showing the relationship between inflation, BI-7 day repo rate, and gross domestic product to money demand was 92.48% and the remaining 7.52% was influenced by other variables. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that partially, the inflation variable has a positive but not significant effect on the Demand for Money in Indonesia in 2013-2022. The BI-7 Day Repo Rate variable has a negative and significant effect on the Demand for Money in Indonesia in 20132022. As well as the variable Gross Domestic Product has a positive and significant effect on the Demand for Money in Indonesia in 2013-2022.
