The problem that is often faced by every country is the problem of poverty. Poverty is a very common problem in any country, including Indonesia. The Family Hope Program (PKH) is an effort to build a social protection system for the poor in order to maintain and improve the social welfare of the poor and to break the chain of poverty. The aim of this research is to determine the role of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in alleviating poverty. This research was conducted in Batu Bersurat Village, XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency. The population was 155 PKH participants, while the sample in this study was 61 people using a random sampling method. Data analysis uses descriptive. The research results explain that the role of the Family Hope Program (PKH) has been running well in reducing poverty through education, health and social welfare indicators.
