Pengembangan E-Modul Berbasis Social Scientific Issue (Ssi) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Enviromental Care Pada Materi Kimia Hijau Di Kelas X Sma Dengan Menggunakan Aplikasi Fliphtml5
HADILAH RASYIH, NIM. 2110247723, Development of an E-Module Based on Social Scientific Issues (SSI) to Improve Critical Thinking and Environmental Care Skills on Green Chemistry Material in Class X SMA Using the Fliphtml5 application, guided by Dr. H. Asmadi M. Noer,M.Sc and Dr. Rasmiwetti,MS.
Critical thinking skills are skills in analyzing and evaluating existing information and determining reliable information so that it can be used to draw valid conclusions. The low critical thinking ability is caused by students tending to memorize material and formulas rather than understanding concepts. The concepts in green chemistry material absolutely must be understood by students thoroughly because they will continue to be implemented in subsequent chemistry concepts and in everyday life. The development of e-module teaching materials is very necessary to facilitate the achievement of the expected learning objectives. One of the advantages of e-module development is that it can be designed according to students' circumstances and school characteristics. The e-module developed integrates socio-scientific issues, can improve students' environmental care, and stimulates students' critical thinking.
This research aims to produce an e-module based on socio-scientific issues in green chemistry material that is valid and reliable and determines the increase in environmental care and critical thinking skills of students in green chemistry material.
This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: the analysis phase, the design phase, the development phase, the implementation phase, and the evaluation phase. Data collection techniques include interviews, student questionnaires, validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. Validation was assessed by three material experts and three media experts. Small-scale trials were carried out using two methods, namely one-on-one testing and user response. The one-on-one test involves three students with high, medium, and low abilities. The user response assessment involved 3 teachers and 30 students at SMAN 2 Siak Hulu, SMAN 2 Tambang, and SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The research design for large-scale trials is a pre-experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and one sample class was obtained, namely class X Science at SMAN 2 Siak Hulu, totaling 37 students.
The research results show that the e-module that has been developed has an average percentage of material experts of 92% and media experts of 99% with very valid criteria; one-on-one testing to obtain student comments on e-module components that need to be improved; and user responses, namely teachers and students, got a percentage of 92.1% and 96.6% with very good criteria. In the large-scale test, environmental care data was obtained before and after using the e-module and pretest-posttest data on students' critical thinking skills. The paired t test on environmental care and critical thinking skills data obtained a significance value of 0.000 (sig
