Identifikasi Faktor Pendukung Minat Baca Di Indonesia Menggunakan Konsep Information Gain Pada Algoritma Naïve Bayes Classifier

Literacy culture, particularly reading interest, is crucial in life because knowledge is fundamentally generated through read.This study aims to identify the main factors influencing the reading interest of the Indonesian population, with the goal of enhancing literacy culture and the quality of Human Resources (HR) in the era of disruption. Considering the importance of literacy in supporting the advancement of science and technology and its crucial role in global competitiveness, increasing reading interest is vital. Secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency and the Indonesian Government websites will be analyzed using the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm to identify the influencing factors. The Information Gain concept will be employed to identify the features that contribute the most to the classification. The results identify five key factors supporting reading interest: Frequency of Reading, Frequency of Internet Access, Number of Reading Materials, Reading Duration, and Economic Status. The accuracy obtained is 83.33%.
