Prarancangan Pabrik Etil Benzena Dari Etilen Dan Benzena Dengan Proses Mobil/Badger
Ethyl benzene is a single-ringed aromatic alkyl organic compound. These aromatic hydrocarbon compounds are important compounds in the petrochemical industry as intermediate compounds in producing styrene. Ethyl benzene is also used to make other chemicals, namely as a solvent in ink, adhesive rubber, varnish and paint. The need for ethyl benzene, both domestic and foreign, increases every year. World demand for ethyl benzene increases by 2.9% per year. Domestic needs are currently met by PT Styrindo Mono Indonesia and a small part by imports. To meet domestic and world needs, 5.80% of the ethyl benzene plant with a capacity of 240,000 tonnes/year was designed to be established in Cilegon, Banten. The company form chosen is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system. Ethyl benzene is made from ethylene and benzene by the badger car process. The main equipment design of this plant is an alkylation reactor (R-201). Economic analysis of the pre-design of the ethyl benzene factory shows that this factory is feasible to be established with a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 1,405,423,011,038.57 which is greater than the Total Capital Investment (TCI) of IDR 1,358,424,380,921.70 Break Event Value Point (BEP) of 40%, Pay Back Period (PBP) of 3 years, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 23.15% and Interest Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.70%.
