Peningkatan Kinerja Dan Skalabilitas Website E-Commerce Menggunakan Load Balancing Dengan Algoritma Least Connection
The development of the internet world continues to increase along with various website services that can be accessed online, one of which is an e-commerce website. Problems that can occur on e-commerce websites, namely when there are certain activities or events such as twin dates, can cause the work of web servers that serve requests to become increasingly heavy. This condition must be supported by adequate server infrastructure. The server must be able to handle the spike in requests made by each user. Therefore, it is necessary to apply load balancing techniques and efficient scheduling algorithms using the Ubuntu operating system and the implementation of virtualization in VirtualBox VMs and using the Nginx load balancing web server. The results of this study show the scalability of the system to be increased as evidenced by the test results giving requests from 100, 1000, 10000 showing the least connection algorithm is superior to the single server based on the specified parameters. The implementation of load balancing has a positive impact in maintaining server performance compared to using a single server for each test range.
