Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa Kelas VIII SMP
Mathematical critical thinking skills (KBKM) are important for students to have because they are one of the goals of school mathematics. This research was motivated by the low level of student KBKM and the lack of teaching materials that could facilitate these abilities. The aim of this research is to produce teaching materials based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) that can facilitate KBKM for class VIII SMP students by fulfilling valid and practical requirements. This type of research is development research (R&D) with a 4D model. The test subjects involved 17 students from SMP Negeri 2 Suliki District. The research instrument uses a validation questionnaire sheet as a tool for assessing the validity of teaching materials and a student response questionnaire as a tool for assessing the practicality of teaching materials. Based on analysis of validation sheets by expert validators, a validity score of 85,05% was obtained with the criteria for valid teaching materials. Meanwhile, the practicality score of teaching materials from the student response questionnaire was 87,38% with very practical criteria. Therefore, the development of RME-based teaching materials is recommended to facilitate KBKM for class VIII SMP students.
