Identifikasi Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Mikroplastik Pada Sedimen Di Danau Buatan Bandar Kayangan Lembah Sari Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru
Microplastics are plastic waste measuring 0.3-5 mm and can accumulate in sediment. This research aims to identify the types of microplastics and the abundance of microplastics found in the sediment in the Bandar Kayangan Artificial Lake. This research was conducted in October-November 2023. This research used a survey method. Sediment sample observations were carried out at the Marine Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Riau University. Sediment samples were taken using a 4 inch paralon pipe with a depth of 0-10 cm for 1 kg. Microplastic observations were carried out in several stages, namely drying, density separation, filtering and counting using a microscope. The research results showed that there were three types of microplastics found, namely fragments (37%), fibers (33%) and films (30%). Meanwhile, the highest abundance of microplastics between stations was at Station 2 with an abundance of 440.00 particles/kg and the lowest was at Station 1 with an abundance of 357.78 particles/kg. The difference in the number of microplastics between stations was carried out using a T test analysis which showed that each station compared with Station 3 had no differences, while between Station 1 and Station 2 there were differences in the number of microplastics between stations.
