Pengaruh Soil Structure Interaction Pada Gedung Teknologi Informasi Dan Komunikasi Universitas Riau
ABSTRACT
Generally, structural planning involves using column-base fixed supports, which assume the base soil is infinitely rigid. In fact, the soil has a certain rigidity and is capable of deformation so that it can affect a structure, commonly called soil structure interaction (SSI). But practitioners rarely consider the interaction between soil and structural systems because of its high complexity and long computing time. While SSI reviews need to be carried out to obtain more accurate data according to the original conditions in the soil, the study aims to identify structural behavior with consideration of SSI at Riau University's Building of Information and Technology Center. Structural analysis is done linearly using spectrum earthquake response data and continues with nonlinear pushover analysis. The modeling was made into two types: model 1 using the fixed base and model 2 using the spring placed on the points along the pile foundation as a representation of SSI with the deformable piles interactive springs method. The results of the analysis showed that natural periods had an increase of 20% in the direction of X and 18% in Y, maximum displacement had an increase of 29% in the direction of X and 24% in Y, and base shear had a decrease of 18% in the direction of X and 16% in Y. Through pushover analysis, the result was an increase in the performance point when SSI was considered in both X and Y directions.
