Analisis Laju Abrasi Pantai Pulau Rangsang Menggunakan Citra Satelit Dan Google Earth Engine (Gee)
ABSTRACT
Rangsang Island has a coastal area that directly faces the open ocean, making it susceptible to abrasion and changes in the coastline. Google Earth Engine is a platform that can facilitate research related to changes in the coastline. This study aims to determine the rate of coastal abrasion on Rangsang Island and the village with the highest abrasion rate that must be prioritized for handling. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method by utilizing ArcGIS 10.4 software for overlay analysis and spatial quantification of the area experiencing abrasion during the period 1990-2024 with a period of every 2 years. Secondary data used in the form of Landsat 5,7, and 8 satellite imagery as well as the area and administrative boundaries of the village area on Rangsang Island. The research results show that on Rangsang Island during the period 1990-2024 there had been abrasion of 3446.43 Ha with a rate of 101.37 Ha/year and accretion of 2012.19 Ha with a rate of 59.18 Ha/year. The largest abrasion occurred in 2002-2004 with an area of 365.23 Ha and the largest accretion occurred in 2006-2008 with an area of 334.75 Ha. Based on the abrasion rate in units of m/year, the abrasion with the highest rate occurred on the east coast of Rangsang Island, namely in Tanjung Medang Village at 10.77 m/year, Tanjung Kedabu Village at 9.58 m/year, and Sungai Gayung Kiri Village at 9.11 m/year. Villages with the largest abrasion rates are recommended to be a priority in handling abrasion on Rangsang Island.
