Penggunaan Kijing (Pilsbryoconcha Exilis) Sebagai Filter Biologis Bahan Organik Di Perairan Waduk Koto Panjang
The fish farming sector in floating net cages (KJA) in Koto Panjang Reservoir has provided organic pollutant loads that can reduce water quality. To overcome this problem, it can be done by utilizing freshwater mussels as natural biological filters. This research was conducted from February to May 2024 in Koto Panjang Reservoir. The method used is an experimental method with a Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 3 treatment levels and repeated 3 times. Treatment P1: Stocking density of 18 fish/17,220 cm3 , P2: Stocking density of 36 fish/17,220 cm3, P3: Stocking density of 54 fish/17,220 cm3 and Group K1: Depth 0.2 meters, K2: Depth of 3 meters, K3: Depth of 6 meters. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the depth group affects the decrease in organic matter. The best depth for the use of mussels as a biological filter of organic matter to reduce the concentration of total organic matter is at a depth of 3 m (K2).
