STUDI NORMALISASI SUNGAI SANGLAR UNTUK PENGENDALIAN BANJIR
The Sanglar River is one of the rivers located in the village of Reteh Subdistrict,
Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. Reteh Subdistrict in Indragiri
Hilir Regency ranked first in the occurrence of disasters in Riau Province during
the year 2021. Therefore, the researcher chose the Sanglar River as the research
object, with a river length of approximately ±2.5 km. Due to the issues, the
researcher selected this area for normalization.
In controlling floods using the HEC-RAS application, the principle followed is
that the flow discharge must remain below the planned flood discharge. From the
results of the calculation and analysis, several conclusions can be drawn as
follows: The designed flood discharge for the Sanglar River is 1.0101 th = 15,864
m
3
/s, 2 th = 36,041 m
3
/s, 5 th = 48,838 m
3
/s, 10 th = 57,330 m
3
/s, 25 th = 68,095
m
3
/s, 50 th = 76,150 m
3
/s, 100 th = 84,240 m
3
/s. In the initial state, the river has a
width of about ±8 m with a depth of ±2,5 m. River normalization was then carried
out, resulting in a width of ±11 m and a river depth of ±4m. The total widening of
the river is approximately ±3m, and the excavation of the river is approximately
1,5m. The Sanglar River will have the capacity to accommodate water flow up to
Q25th.
