Identifikasi Jenis-jenis Ikan di Danau Perupuk Kampung Pinang Kecamatan Perhentian Raja Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Perupuk Lake is an oxbow lake that receives water from the Kampar River during floods. When the river water increases and flows into the lake, many fish species enter the lake, and the abundance as well as the type of fishes present in the lake was increased. Another factor that affects the abundance and type of fish present in the lake was fish catching activity. To find out the types of fish in Perupuk Lake, a research was conducted from September to October 2023. Samplings were conducted 6 times, 3 times during flood and 3 times when there was no rain. The fishes were captured using gill nets and bamboo fish traps. The fish sampled were then identified. Results showed that the fish caught consisted of 6 orders, 11 families, 23 genera and 26 species. There were more fish types captured during the flood and less species when there was no flood, there was 22 and 15 species respectively. Among 26 fish species caught, there was 1 species of ornamental fish is Striuntius lineatus. There was 10 species of edible fish is Thynnichthys polylepis, T. thynnoides, Labiobarbus leptocheilus, Barbichthys laevis, Parachela oxygastroides, Mystus nigriceps, Hemibagrus nemurus, Laides hexanema, Ompok hypopthalmus and Pristolepis grootii. There was 15 species of ornamental-edible fish is Osteochilus hasselti, O. waandersi, Hampala macrolepidota, Barbonymus schwanefeldii, Puntius binotatus, P. bulu, Rasbora dusonensis, Lobocheilos rhabdoura, Pectenocypris korthausae, Luciosoma trinema, Helostoma temminckii, Trichopodus pectoralis, Oreochromis niloticus, Notopterus notopterus and Oxyeleotris marmorata. There was 1 species of protected fish is N. notopterus. The lake’s water quality were as follows: temperature 28ºC-30ºC, brightness 40-52.5 cm, depth 0.5-6.2 m, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 4.2-5.6 mg/L and free carbon dioxide 5.99-10.79 mg/L.
