Pengaruh Bahan Tambah Bestmittel Dengan Dosis 0,4 % Terhadap Kuat Tekan Beton Dengan Fas 0,5
Concrete is obtained by mixing Portland cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, and water with or without the use of additives. To get concrete with better strength, additional materials are used. One of the additional ingredients used is Bestmittel. This research aims to determine how much influence the addition of Bestmittel has on the compressive strength of concrete, without reducing the water content. Bestmittel is a Type E chemical additive (Water Reducing and Accelerating Admixture) which has a dual function of reducing the amount of mixing water needed to produce concrete with a certain consistency and speeding up the setting of the concrete. This research uses the DOE (Department of Environment) method according to SNI 03-2834-2000 with the test object in the form of a concrete cylinder measuring 150 mm in diameter and 300 mm in height. 30 samples were made of test objects, of which 15 were normal concrete samples and 15 were concrete samples with the addition of Bestmiitel which were tested at the ages of 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days. The variation in the Besmittel addition dose used is 0.4% of the cement weight. From the results of the normal concrete compressive strength test in the 28 day test it was 26.31 MPa, in the concrete compressive strength test with the addition of Bestmittel the values increased respectively 18.58 MPa, 21.31 MPa, 22.54 MPa, 27.16 MPa, and 31.03 MPa. Based on the test results, the use of Besmittel in concrete will increase the concrete's compressive strength, workability and life coefficient. The maximum increase in compressive strength was obtained at a test age of 3 days with a percentage increase of 26.68% from Normal Concrete quality with a split tensile strength of 14.90 MPa.
