Prarancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Natrium Lignosulfonat Dari Black Liquor Pabrik Pulp Proses Sulfonasi Dengan Desain Alat Utama Reaktor Sulfonasi (R-201)
ABSTRACT
Sodium lignosulfonate is a type of surfactant with extensive industrial applications due to its ability to reduce surface and interfacial tension, stabilize emulsions, and act as an effective dispersant. Sodium lignosulfonate surfactants are anticipated to become increasingly important as industrial demand for surfactants rises with growing consumer consumption. Theplannedplantwilloperate330daysperyear, continuously24 hoursaday, witha capacity of 25,000 tons per year, and will be located inKerinci, Riau. The company is structured as a LimitedLiabilityCompany (PT)withalineandstaff organizationalsystem.Employeeworkis divided into shift and non-shift schedules. The main equipment design for this plant is the sulfonation reactor (R-201), which will react lignin with sodium bisulfite to produce sodium lignosulfonate as the main product and hydrogen peroxide as a by-product with a conversion rate of 72.2%. The economic analysis of the plant design indicates that the plant is feasible. Based on the economic feasibility results, the sodium lignosulfonate plant from black liquor is viable with a Payback Period (PBP) of
2.95 years, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.65%, Return on Investment (ROI) of 43.79%, and Break-Even Point (BEP) of 35%.
