Pemodelan Karakteristik Pelaku Perjalanan Terhadap Pemilihan Moda Angkutan Melalui Tol Pekanbaru – Dumai
The presence of the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road influences traveler behavior regarding transportation mode selection, resulting in an increase in AKDP trans-portation users utilizing the toll road. This study seeks to develop a model of mode selection features and to investigate the factors influencing travelers' mode selection on the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road. This research employs a statistical strategy utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. Data collection is conducted by the distribution of questionnaires to respondents.
The analysis of mode choice (PM) between private and public transportation includes the variables of Flexibility (FL), Convenience (NY), Cost and Time Con-siderations (BW), Security (AM), and Obstacles (OB). The model equation is ex-pressed as PM = 0.276 FL + 0.297 NY + 0.169 BW + 0.154 AM + 0.340 OB, de-rived from the specified variables. The equation indicates that the most significant variable is the Obstacles. Further analysis indicates that derivative variables, in-cluding the absence of information regarding the benefits of public transportation (OB.1), the perception of public transportation as inefficient (OB.2), strong loyalty to private transportation (OB.3), and insufficient facilities (OB.4), affect the Obsta-cles variable. The equation OB = 0.562 OB.1 + 0.821 OB.2 + 0.620 OB.3 + 0.562 OB.4 is formulated based on these variables. The primary factor identified in this equation remains the inefficiency associated with public transportation usage.
An analysis is conducted to compare buses and travel as modes of public transportation. The variables for mode selection analysis (PM) include Flexibility (FL), Cost Considerations (B), Time Considerations (W), Comfort (NY), and Secu-rity (AM). The model equation PM = 0.244 FL + 0.340 B + 0.243 W + 0.228 NY + 0.213 AM is derived from these variables. The equation indicates that cost con-sideration is the most influential variable. Further analysis indicates that derivative variables affect the cost consideration variable, with low cost as the primary factor (B.1), the absence of additional baggage fees (B.2), and a preference for low cost over the convenience of transportation modes (B.3). The equation B = 0.736 B.1 + 0.514 B.2 + 0.683 B.3 is derived from these variables. The equation indicates that low cost is the most significant factor, serving as the primary consideration.
