Tingkat Pengetahuan Kehamilan Remaja Pada Siswa-Siswi SMPN 1 pekanbaru

Background: Adolescent behavior is influenced by the adolescent's level of knowledge. Teenagers who are equipped with knowledge, especially about sexuality, will be able to shape their behavior to avoid deviant behavior such as teenage pregnancy. To prevent and minimize the occurrence of teenage pregnancy, it is necessary to first know the level of knowledge about teenage pregnancy as an early intervention effort. Objective: The research was conducted to determine the level of knowledge of teenage pregnancy among students at SMPN 1 Pekanbaru.Method: This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive research design and uses a cross sectional approach. The minimum sample used is 96 samples. There were 102 samples taken from representatives of each class, mostly from classes 7, 8 and 9.Results: From the research, the results showed that the level of knowledge of students at SMPN 1 Pekanbaru was generally in the good category as many as 91 people (89.22%), in the adequate category there were 9 people (8.82%), and in the poor category there were 2 people ( 1.96%).
