Identifikasi Spesies dan Tempat Perindukan Larva Aedes spp. di Desa Pasir Kemilu Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease transmitted to humans through the bite of a female mosquito infected with the dengue virus. The Aedes aegypti mosquito as the main vector and Aedes albopictus as the potential vector. In 2021, there were 33 cases of DHF in Indragiri Hulu, increasing to 78 cases in 2022 and decreasing the following year to 21 cases with the highest IR in the Sipayung Health Center work area, namely Pasir Kemilu Village. This study aims to identify the species of Aedes spp. larvae and their breeding places in Pasir Kemilu Village. The type of research conducted is descriptive observational through a survey of larvae to 116 houses with a sampling technique in the form of multistage stratified random sampling. The results of the study obtained Aedes aegypti larvae (53.6%) and Aedes albopictus larvae (46.4%). Containers containing Aedes spp. larvae are used water dispenser containers (28.6%), buckets (25%), used cans (10.7%), drums (10.7%), used flower pots (7.1%), used trash cans (7.1%), basins (3.6%), animal drinking containers (3.6%), and used containers (3.6%). Based on the research results, Aedes aegypti is the most dominant species in Pasir Kemilu Village, with the used water dispenser container being the container where the most Aedes spp. larvae were found.
