Profil Tata Laksana Operasi Pada Pasien Neonatus Dengan Jejunoileal Atresia (JIA) di RSUD Arifin Achmad Periode 2019-2023
Jejunoileal Atresia (JIA) was one of the main causes of intestinal obstruction in neonates. Its prevalence was reported to be between 0.3 and 1.1 per 10,000 births. JIA required proper preoperative, operative, and postoperative management to reduce morbidity and mortality rates in neonates. This study was a descriptive research using a cross-sectional design, aimed at determining the profile of surgical management in neonate patients with Jejunoileal Atresia (JIA) at RSUD Arifin Achmad during the period from 2019 to 2023. The data used were obtained from the medical records of JIA patients in the pediatric surgery department. The sample was taken using a total sampling technique, with a total of 12 patients. The results of the study showed that the majority of JIA cases were ileal atresia (66.7%), with the Santulli procedure used in 66.7% of cases. The majority did not experience postoperative complications (67.7%), with the complication that appeared being Short Bowel Syndrome (16.7%). The postoperative outcome was good/alive (83.3%), while the length of hospital stay was either ≤28 days or >28 days.
