Potensi Larutan Daun Jarak (Jatropha curcas) Untuk Mengobati Telur Ikan Gurami (Osphronemus gouramy) Yang Terinfeksi Jamur
Jatropha curcas is a plant that contains active compounds such as saponins,
flavonoids, polyphenols, and tannins as antifungals. This research was conducted in March to May 2024 at the Laboratory of Parasites and Fish Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University. The aim of the study was to obtain the best dose of J. curcas leaf solution for the treatment of gourami eggs infected with fungal eggs. The method used is an experimental method, one factor with 5 treatmentsand 3 repetitions. Thetreatments applied wereKn (Fish eggs not infected with fungi and not J. curcas leaf solution), Kp (Fish eggs infected with fungi and not J. curcas leaf solution), Fish eggs infected with fungi and given J. curcas leaf solution doses of 2,000 ppm (P1), 4,000 ppm (P2), and 6,000 ppm (P3). Eggs were used as many as 1.200 eggs, namely 1.080 healthy eggs and 120 fungus-infected eggs. Healthy fish eggs were infected with fungal eggs for 24 hours and then treated with J. curcas leaf solution according to the treatment dose for 24 hours. The results showed that eggs soaked in J. curcas leaf solution at a dose of 2000 ppm (P1) were the best, giving a real effect to inhibit and treat gourami eggs infected with fungi with a prevalence value infected with Saprolegnia sp. 30% and hatchability reached 70%.
