The parameters observed are: tree height, trunk diameter, leaf length, leaf width, leaf shape, number of flower buds, flower diameter, fruit shape, fruit diameter, fruit color, A survey was carried out on the research location and then an exploration was carried out on the distribution of bidara plants. The bidara plant is found in the sub-districts of Tuah Madani, Tampan, Sukajadi, Tenayan Raya, Bukit Raya, Kulim, Rumbai, Marpoyan Damai, Rumbai Pesisir, and Sail. Direct observations were made on the stems, flowers, fruits, and seeds. The samples that have been collected are made into a herbarium of twigs and leaves. The creation of the herbarium begins with sample cleaning, then sprayed with 70% alcohol, then pressed and dried in an oven with a temperature of 50°C, and then the mounting process. The results of direct observation and herbarium data are analyzed and the key determination is made. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are three species of bidara found at the research site, namely Ziziphus mauritiana, Ziziphus spina-christi, Ziziphus oenoplia. The distinguishing characteristics of these three species are that the Z. mauritiana species has rounded fruits like unfortunate apples and is larger than the Z. spina-christi and Z. oenoplia species. Second, the Z. spina-christi species has oval to rounded leaves with a slippery leaf surface, without fluff (tricoma) on the back of the leaf. Third, the Z. oenoplia species has a smaller fruit size than other species and the spines on the stems of this species are at least or almost non-existent.
