Dampak Tubo Belerang Terhadap Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Kawasan Danau Maninjau Nagari Koto Malintang Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam

Tubo belerang is a term used by the local community to mention the condition when there is a mass death of fish in the Lake Maninjau area, which causes losses for the local community, especially floating net cage (KJA) farmers. This study aims to determine the impact of tubo belerang on the social and economic conditions of KJA farmers, as well as to find out the factors that cause KJA farmers to continue to carry out fish farming businesses in the midst of losses experienced due to the occurrence of tubo belerang. The approaches used in this research are structural functionalism, social change and rational choice. This research uses descriptive quantitative research with data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation and documentation. The sampling method in this study uses probability sampling using the type of proportionate startified random sampling obtained as many as 67 respondents. The results showed that, on the social condition variable, tubo sulfur has a significant impact on the social interaction of KJA farmers, the welfare of KJA farmers' families and the quality of life of KJA farmers, while the social participation of KJA farmers is also affected but not too significant. In the social condition variable, the occurrence of sulfurous tubo has a significant impact on the production of KJA farmers, the income of KJA farmers and the ownership of KJA farmers' assets, while the savings and debts of KJA farmers are also affected but not too significant. In the variable factors of survival of KJA farmers, the results obtained that the overall survival factors in this study are the dominant factors that are the reason KJA farmers continue to maintain KJA businesses, ranging from internal factors due to economic considerations and the ability to manage risks and also external factors due to social support and optimization of resources.
