Inventarisasi Jenis-Jenis Mangrove Di Kawasan Sungai Solok Kecamatan Kuala Kampar Sebagai Rancangan Media Poster Pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati Kelas X SMA
Mangrove forests are a type of forest covered with mangrove trees that typically occur along the coast or river estuaries and are influenced by the tides. Mangrove forests are defined as forests that grow in tidal areas (especially sheltered beaches, estuaries and rivers) that are inundated at high tide and free of inundation at low tide, where the plant community is salt-tolerant. Mangrove forests have ecological functions as nutrient providers for aquatic biota, spawning and nursery grounds for various biota, abrasion barriers, hurricanes and tsunamis, waste absorbers, prevention of seawater intrusion, and so on. While economically it functions as a provider of wood, raw materials for medicines and others. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of mangroves in the Sungai Solok area of Kuala Kampar District and as a poster media design on Class X high school biodiversity material with an independent curriculum.
This research is a quantitative descriptive study, using the survey analysis method and purposive random sampling. Data collection activities, analyzing data and interpreting data were carried out in March-December 2023 which consisted of two stages, namely, stage I research on the inventory of mangrove species in the Sungai Solok area, Kuala Kampar District and stage II design of learning posters on Class X high school biodiversity material. In sampling research by conducting a survey method or recording the types of mangroves found in the Solok River mangrove area based on mangrove stations, namely station 1, station 2 and station 3.
Parameters in this study are divided into biological parameters and physico-chemical parameters. Biological parameters include the types of mangroves in the Solok River area at each station. Physico-chemical parameters are salinity, substrate organic content, substrate pH, and soil pH. Tools and materials used in this study are stationery, smartphone camera, Plannet Identification application, Mangrove Introduction book in Indonesia by Noor, et al (2012), plastic, machete, soil tester, Handrefractometer, Thermohygrometer, oven, furnance, analytical balance, and porcelain cup.
The results of this study obtained an inventory of mangrove species in the area of Sungai Solok District Kuala Kampar has been found 7 Families consisting of 12 Species. The type of Species in the Avicenniaceae Family is Avicennia alba, Recaceae Family is Nypa fruticans, Rhizophoraceae Family consists of 5 Species namely Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera cylindrica, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Bruguiera sexangula. FamilyMeliaceae is Xylocarpus granatum, FamilyRubiaceae is Scyhiphora, FamilyCombreteaceae is Lumnittizera littorea and FamilySonneratiaceae is Sonneratia alba and Sonneratia caseolaris. Analysis of the inventory of mangrove plant species carried out at each observation station shows that the constituents of mangrove forests in the Solok River area are quite varied. Based on the results of research on the inventory of mangrove species in the Sungai Solok area, Kuala Kampar District, a poster media was designed as one of the teaching media for learning high school biology Class X in phase E of the independent curriculum with biodiversity material.
From the results of data analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the inventory of mangrove species obtained 7 families consisting of 12 species of mangrove species and designed poster media associated with the independent curriculum in phase E of biodiversity material and its role.
