This research is motivated by various problems, especially in the cognitive learning outcomes of students who do not reach the KKM. In addition, this is due to low learning independence. These two things are the foundation for students to gain full knowledge so that they can improve other abilities. One solution to increase learning outcomes and student learning independence is to realize active, participatory and interactive learning. Such learning can be realized by the application of learning media. The learning medium that is currently trending is e- learning. E-learning is a learning medium that provides students with learning media and learning materials that are not limited by space and time. This e-learning can be applied with the integration of learning models. One of the learning models is POE2WE. The POE2WE learning model has been proven to be able to improve learning independence and cognitive learning outcomes. POE2WE-based e- learning using Google Site aims to improve learning independence and cognitive learning outcomes.
This research aims to: 1) To develop POE2WE-based e-learning using
Google Site on valid and reliable Global Warming materials; 2) To test the practicality of POE2WE-based e-learning using Google Site on Global Warming material; 3) To test the effectiveness of POE2WE-based e-learning using Google Site on Global Warming material in improving cognitive learning outcomes and students' learning independence compared to conventional classes.
This type of research is a mixture of development research and quasi- experimental research. Development research is carried out with the ADDIE institutional design model which produces valid, reliable and practical e-learning. Experimental research was carried out with two class groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The variables in this study consist of POE2WE-based e-learning as an independent variable, learning independence and student learning outcomes as bound variables. The population of this study is all classes of XI MIPA SMA N 6 Pekanbaru with samples, namely class XI MIPA 2 as an experimental class with 36 students and XI MIPA 3 as a control class with 35 students. The experimental research data collection technique uses test techniques using a special test in the form of a multiple-choice post-test and a non-test technique in the form of a questionnaire on student learning independence. The data analysis technique for hypothesis testing uses manova analysis by first conducting prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity tests.
The development of POE2WE-based e-learning using google site has been successfully carried out with the help of 3 professor lecturers and 2 user teachers as validators, 3 user teachers and 17 students who assisted in the reliability and


practicality test so that it was found that POE2WE-based e-learning using google site was declared valid, reliable and practical. Furthermore, the results of the post- test of cognitive learning outcomes of students in the experimental class obtained an average score of 86.11 and the control class of 84.95. Furthermore, for the post- test of learning independence, the experimental class students obtained an average score of 84.44 and the control class of 79.97. Furthermore, a manova test was carried out to find out the significant difference and it was found that the significance was 0.009. This shows that there is a significant difference between learning independence and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class. Next, tests between two objects are used to find out which variables are more affected. It was found that students' learning independence was more affected than students' learning outcomes by implementing learning using POE2WE-based e-learning using google sites.
Based on the results of the research and data analysis , POE2WE-based e-
learning using google site was successfully developed and it can be concluded that there is a difference in learning independence and cognitive learning outcomes of students who use POE2WE-based e-learning using google sites and students who use conventional learning. From the results of the analysis of learning independence and cognitive learning outcomes, students who use POE2WE-based e-learning using google sites are better than students who use conventional learning. Therefore, the author recommends POE2WE-based e-learning using google sites as one of the alternative learning media that teachers can apply in high school physics learning.
