Desain Simpang Bersinyal Terkoordinasi Di Jalan Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru Berdasarkan Mikrosimulasi VISSIM
The large number of intersections in a big city like Pekanbaru turns out to cause its own problems, especially on the Jalan Ahmad Yani section of Pekanbaru Citywhich has a close distance between intersections. There are four intersections within 644.57 meters on the road, consisting of unsignalized and signalized intersections. This area has mixed land use. This diversity of land use results in a large number of vehicles that can pass through these intersections, which can cause congestion which can certainly cause inconvenience to motorists. Therefore, in this research, an alternative planning effort is carried out in the form of signal coordination between intersections to overcome the congestion problems that occur on Jalan Ahmad Yani. Data collection was carried out by direct survey method in the field which includes intersection geometrics, traffic volume, vehicle speed and driving behavior. Analysis and modeling wereconducted using the VISSIMStudent Version application. The results of the existing condition modeling analysis showed an average intersection delay value of 46,38 seconds with an intersection level of service in category E. Signal coordination planning at the four intersections on Jalan Ahmad Yani was carried out using three alternatives. Based on the analysis of three alternative signal coordination plans, alternative 3 with a cycle time of 100 seconds and a vehicle speed of 40 km/h was found to be the best alternative. Alternative 3 produces the lowest average intersection delay value of the other alternatives, which is 29,84 seconds with a decrease in delay value of 35,66% and increases the level of service of the intersection from E to D. The signal coordination results show an offset time of 58 seconds with a bandwidth of 20 seconds from the North direction and 25 seconds from the South direction.
