Strategi Bertahan Hidup Pengemudi Becak Motor Pada Komunitas Persatuan Becak Simpang Kualu (Pbsk) Di Jalan Suka Karya Kota Pekanbaru
This research was conducted on the Simpang Kualu Suka Karya pedicab driver community in Pekanbaru city with the aim of finding out and explaining the survival strategies of motorcycle rickshaw drivers in the Suka Karya Pedicab Association (PBSK) community. The basic review in this study uses the theory of survival strategies and social solidarity. To answer the problem formulation, a descriptive qualitative method was used with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects used the Purposive Sampling technique which involved 10 subjects with a list of 5 main informants. The results of the study are known to have 5 indicators in survival strategies, namely, active strategies, passive strategies, network strategies and mechanical and organic solidarity. Active strategy, survival strategy that is carried out by utilizing all the potential that is had, passive strategy is a survival strategy that is carried out by minimizing family expenses, for example saving expenses, network strategy, survival strategy that is carried out by asking for help from relatives, neighbors and other relationships both formally and informally when in difficulty, such as borrowing money when you need money suddenly. The active strategy that is carried out can help their lives, while there are some informants who have not carried out this active strategy, the passive strategy that is carried out is good so that it supports brand activities, while the network strategy that they run is good so that it is able to support their activities.
