Evaluasi Bronjong Pada Proyek Revitalisasi Danau Bakuok Kabupaten Kampar (Tahap Iii)
ABSTRACT
Bakuok Lake, located in Aursati Village, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, is an oxbow lake formed naturally from the Kampar River flow. To address the threats of erosion and landslides along the lakebanks, as well as to support conservation and flood control functions, the government implemented a revitalization project—one component of which includes the construction of gabions as retaining walls. This study aims to evaluate the stability and safety factor of the gabion structures installed from STA 0+300 to STA 0+400, covering a 100-meter segment. The evaluation method involves analyzing sliding and overturning forces using the simplified Rankine theory approach. The calculation results indicate that the gabions with code A dimensions (2 m × 1 m × 1 m), stacked in two layers, yield a safety factor of 0.34 for overturning and 0.41 for sliding. These values fall below the minimum required standard (≥ 1.5), indicating that the structure is technically unsafe and may fail in the long term. Therefore, a redesign simulation was conducted using alternative gabion dimensions and configurations to enhance stability and extend the service life of the structure. This study also provides technical recommendations based on the evaluation results for more reliable design improvements.
