Pengembangan Mesin Penyangrai Bumbu Dengan Menggunakan Metode QFD (Quality Function Deployment) Melalui Pendekatan DFM (Design For Manufacture)
ABSTRACT
The roasting machine is an important tool in the process of cooking spices, functioning as a frying tool without oil to reduce water content and enhance flavor. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a systematic method used to identify and meet customer needs by integrating the voice of the customer into the product design and development process. The application of QFD in the development of a spice roasting machine for the Buya Cooking Spice Factory MSME business, with the aim of creating a product that not only meets technical needs but is also able to provide practical and economical solutions. Based on the results of the questionnaire, 2 alternative designs were created that function to obtain the best design. DFM (Design for Manufacturing) is a method used to reduce production costs by estimating manufacturing costs through reducing components, assembly costs, and other production support costs without reducing the quality of the product. In this study, there are 2 designs, namely the alternative design obtained a manufacturing cost of Rp. 4,031,798 and while the alternative design obtained a manufacturing cost of Rp. Rp. 3,842,000.
