Good motor skills in early childhood can be seen from the ability to run
quickly, the ability to jump, and the ability to maintain body balance. The
phenomenon that occurs in Tk Al-munawarroh Pekanbaru is that many still
cannot maintain their balance, this can cause the child's gross motor skills to be
hampered. The purpose of this study was to determine a description of children's
gross motor skills and determine how much the level of children's gross motor
skills. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in
this study were all Al-munawwaroh kindergarten students totalling 37 people. The
sample used in this study were Al-munawwaroh Kindergarten students totalling
37 people. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis. The results
showed that children's motoric abilities when viewed on the overall aspect of each
indicator, an average value (Mean) of 6.475 was obtained, while the highest
average value was 90.4 with a very good category and the lowest value was 51.9
with a sufficient category seen from several Locomotor test methods with an
average of 6.34 with a percentage (33%), Non-Locomotor tests with an average of
6.38 with a percentage (33%), and Manipulativ tests with an average of 6.69 with
a percentage (34%), based on the overall results of the Early Childhood Motor
Skills Test from 48 children as a research sample, it was found that the category
was very good as much as 6.34 with a percentage (33%).
