Respon Komponen Masyarakat Indonesia terhadap Kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia Menerima Resolusi DK PBB Nomor 1747 Tahun 2007

Iran nuclear technology development effort has being a concern of international
society including Indonesia. The resolution of united nation (UN) security council
number 1747 that has been approved on march 24, 2007 was the third resolution that has
been conducted by UN security council. There are two previous resolutions UN security
council number 1969 on July 31, 2006 and UN security council number 1737 on
December 23, 2006.
The Iran nuclear is not new problem for UN security council, but the main
problem hare is the Indonesia participation as a non-permanent member of UN security
council for January 1 up to December 31, 2008. it is the first time for Indonesia to take
role in international peacefulness security by deciding a policy to agree with the UN
security council number 1747. The consequence of the policy is the appearance of stern
response from Indonesia society. They refuse the policy because in the contrary before
this event, the Indonesia goverment support the Iran nuclear energy development in
order to keep peacefulness. This problem makes the appearance of different impression
for Indonesian government in policy formulating which the Indonesia society aspiration
should not be ignored in this case.
