Potensi dan karakterisasi limbah kulit durian sebagai Adsorben limbah cair logam berat timbal (pb), tembaga (cu) dan seng (zn)
The present research was aimed to measure the active carbon capacity of durian peels to absorb
the heavy metal Pb, Cu and Zn. This was an experimental research held at a laboratory with a
direct data measurement. The results show that the reduced mass of the active carbon before and
after the activation was 30% and the average carbon density before carbonization of 6000C
temperature and activation of 8000C temperature was 1,443.881 kg/m3. Whereas after
carbonization at 6000C and activation at 8000C temperature, the density average score was
1061.885 kg/m3. The previous concentration result of the wastewater for lead was 4.6174 ppm,
copper was 4.2384 ppm and zinc was 4.0405 ppm. After being treated with the active carbon
absorbance of the durian peels, the absorbing concentration for the lead metal was 3.0685
(66,84%), copper was 2,5716 (60,67%) and zinc was 2,4159 (59,79%).
