Hubungan antara Keterampilan Manajerial dan Akuntabilitas Kepala Sekolah dengan Efektivitas Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kecamatan Rupat Kabupaten Bengkalis
This study aimed to analyze the correlation between managerial skills and accountability of head teacher both partially or in combination. The research hypothesis was that there was a correlation between head teacher’s managerial skills and the school effectiveness; there was a correlation between the head teacher’s accountability and the school effectiveness; and there was a correlation between both the head teacher’s managerial skills and his accountability and the school effectiveness.
The population of the study was all Elementary School head teachers in Rupat Sub-district, District of Bengkalis totalling 41 head teachers. All population became the sample of the study. The instruments used to gather the data were a set of questionnaire with Likert Scale. To test the hypotheses correlation and regression analyses was used.
The findings of the study indicated that (1) there was a significant correlation between the managerial skills of the head teachers and the school effectiveness, (2) there was a significant correlation between the head teachers’ accountability with the school effectiveness, and (3) there was a significant correlation between both head teachers’ managerial skills and their accountability with the school effectiveness.
