Sintesis Analog Kurkumin Turunan 1-Benzil 4 Piperidinonmenggunakan Katalis Basa Dan Uji Aktivitas Sebagai Antibakteri
Curcumin is the one of secondary metabolites with phenolic group which was known to have various biological activities such as antimicroba, anticancer, antioxidant, antitumor and anti-inflammatory. Therefore, curcumin through the variation of their structures become a model for target moleculs. In this research, curcumin analog of 1-benzil-4-piperidone derivative were synthesized by microwave irradiation with an acid catalyst (NaOH). The rendement resulted from each of curcumin analogs are (3E,5E)-3,5-bis(3-hidroksibenzilidin)-1-benzil-piperidin-4-on YN2 (99,39 %) and (3E,5E)-3,5-bis(3-metoksibenzilidin)-1-benzil-piperidin-4-on YN3 (54,66 %). .The purity of all compounds has been tested by using TLC, and melting point test. All the compounds resulted were characterized UV spectrophotometer, IR spectrophotometer, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectrometers. Antibacterial activity was evaluated using the agar diffusion method . Antibacterial activity test carried out at concentrations of 20, 30, 40, 50 , and 60 mg/disc against Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) and two Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Salmonella enteritidis). YN2 and YN3 showed antibacterial activity against different bacteria.
