Kondisi Limnologis Sungai Tapung Berdasarkan Parameter Fisika-Kimia Di Desa Bencah Kelubi Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Tapung River has been polluted due to the input of pollutant originated from household, plantation and water transportation activities. The present of the pollutant, however, reduce the water quality in general. A research aims to understand the limnological condition in the Tapung River based on physical-chemical parameters was conducted from February-March 2017. There are 3 stations, namely Station 1 (upstream), Station 2 (in the middle of the river) and Station 3 (downstream). The water samples were taken once/week for a 3 weeks period. Water quality parameters measured were current speed, temperature, transparency, turbidity, electrical conductivity, pH, DO, CO2, nitrate and phosphate content. Results shown that the current speed was 0.30-0.43 cm/second, temperature 27.3-30 oC, turbidity 14.71-46.59 FTU, pH 5, DO 4.12-5.36 mg/L, CO2 15.98-18.64 mg/L, conductivity 56.19-65.22 μmhos, nitrate 0.2-0.43 mg/L, and phosphate 0.18-0.41 mg/L. The nitrate and phosphate concentration indicate that the Tapung River is in oligotrophic-mesotrophic condition.
