Status Trofik Danau Diatas Berdasarkan Indeks Nygaard

Nygaard Index is an index which can be used to determined the trophic state of waters, based on phytoplankton composition. To understand the trophic state of the Diatas Lake, a research was conducted on February- March 2017. There were three sampling stations, namely station 1 (inlet area),station 2 (in the middle of lake), station 3 (outlet area). In each station, there were threesampling points, in the surface (0.5 m), 2 secchi depth (7 m) and 4 secchi depth (14 m).Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/two week. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, pH, Nitrate, Fosfatand CO2bebas.Results shownthat the NygaardIndexvalues ranged from 2,5 to 2,8.Thewater quality parameters were as follows: temperature 180C-200C, transparency 304-324 cm, pH 6, CO23.99-7.99 mg/L. Based on theNygaardIndex value, the Diatas Lake can be categorized as mesotrophic to eutrophic.
